Mercyland Psychiatry in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin was incorporated as a private mental health provider in 2017. Our practice was born out of the observation that there is a great need for mental health support for children and their families. To cater to this growing need, we provide competent and compassionate behavioral and mental health support and treatment for all ages. Mercyland Psychiatry delivers comprehensive mental and behavioral healthcare using evidence-based psychosocial and psychopharmacological interventions. We care for children, adolescents, and adults compassionately and respectfully in a family-friendly environment.
The overall goal of Mercyland Psychiatry is to serve our clients and help them remain illness-free, prevent at-risk children from developing psychiatric illnesses, and intervene comprehensively on behalf of families and their children challenged by emotional or behavioral problems. We hope to achieve these goals through the use of traditional and innovative psychopharmacology, parent management training, testing, medication, and other forms of effective behavioral management treatments.
Adebowale Mofikoya, MD provides his patients and their families with competent and compassionate care while mirroring the mission and goals of Mercyland Psychiatry. Dr. Mofikoya is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is board-certified in both child and adolescent psychiatry as well as general psychiatry.
Dr. Mofikoya is originally from Nigeria. He completed his early education in Nigeria and graduated medical school from the University of Jos in Nigeria. He then moved to the US and completed his residency in General Psychiatry from the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Later, he went on to complete a fellowship at the Vermont Center for Youth and Family at the University of Vermont, where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Mofikoya is actively involved in local, national, and international organizations and is a frequent attendee of local, national, and international conferences on child and adolescent psychiatry.
Mercyland Psychiatry is proud to welcome Jean Trost, PMH-BC, to our practice. Jean is our new psychiatric nurse practitioner, who is currently accepting new patients. Jean is an Advanced Practice Nurse with a board certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, in mental health, with an emphasis on adult and geriatric populations.
